Introduction to Copper Foiling 2024

2 day Saturday workshop at our premises in Penrose

This is  a two day course held over two weekends, please check you can make both dates before booking. *please see below information regarding the June workshop

Materials: Everything provided to make your suncatcher - glass & supplies.

Students make our pattern, which has been designed to teach a good set of beginner skills.

There is some choice of colours packs so that you can make this project your own.

This would also be a great class for those wanting to improve their glass cutting skills.

The first lesson covers cutting, grinding and copper foiling. This class is essential and cannot be missed.

The second lesson covers soldering, adding the hanging wire and patina.

If you dont finish your foiling in the first lesson, we will give you enough foil to take your pieces home to finish before the second class.

PLEASE NOTE 8TH, 15TH & 22 JUNE

The first class is essential as listed above, this cannot be missed as we will be teaching cutting and foiling.

You will attend ONE of the following two classes to do your soldering (either June 15th or 22nd).

The second two classes will be run via a booking system. 9.30am, 10.30 am and 11.30 am and two people per session. This will give you an hour to do your soldering with only two students and the teacher in the studio area.

We will arrange the times for your second session after the first lesson.

Workshop/Studio Classes Refund Policy

 Please check the dates of the workshop you wish to attend to ensure you are able to attend all of the sessions.  Extra classes are an additional cost.  NB It is most important that you attend the first lesson on glass cutting.

All workshops sales are 80% refundable if we are advised in writing 4 weeks prior to the workshop first date. After this time no refund is available

We do understand - life happens. If you are unable to make your booked workshop, you are welcome to give your spot to a friend or family member, however please advise us this is happening so we know who to expect.

If we have a waiting list for a workshop we will attempt to replace you and then would refund 80%
